1ST PART: GUIDED TOUR AT CARIBEANS
At 2pm on the day of your reservation.
During approximately 2 hours, you will walk through a cacao farm in the tropical jungle where you'll be able to see the wildlife, how they transform the cacao into chocolate and visit the chocolate fabric. You'll finish this guided tour with a chocolate tasting where you'll be able to taste a lot of flavors. This event is starting at Caribeans farm (Playa Cocles). Also available at 10AM, please send us a private message to book that specific hour.
2ND PART: CHOCOLATE PAIRING AT CHOCO
Available 7 days before and 7 days after the date of your guided tour, anytime during the following hours: Tuesday to Thursday from 1pm to 7pm and Friday to Saturday from 11am to 4pm. This event is starting at Choco (downtown Puerto Viejo).
You'll have to select 1 of these 5 options:
CHOCOLATE AND BEER PAIRING: 3 x 4oz of each of our local draft beers, each coming with 2 pieces of our best chocolates.
CHOCOLATE AND WINE PAIRING: 3 x 2.5oz of each of our wines (1 white and 2 reds), each coming with 2 pieces of our best chocolates.
CHOCOLATE AND RUM PAIRING: 3 x 1oz of each of our local rums (5, 12 and 20 years old), each coming with 2 pieces of our best chocolates.
CHOCOLATE TASTING PLATE: Chocolate samples of all the different chocolate producers we represent for a total of 18 pieces of our best chocolates.
CHOCOLATE TASTING & A COFFEE OR A HOT CHOCOLATE: 3 x 2 pieces of chocolate from some local chocolate producers we represent, for a total of 6 pieces + a coffee or a hot chocolate of your choice.

The 1st part of this combo will take place at CariBeans Coffee Shop located on the main road in Playa Cocles. The tour will start at 2pm the day of your reservation.
The 2nd part of of this combo will take place at Choco located in the center of Puerto Viejo on Calle 217, 50 mts North of Hotel Puerto Viejo in Puerto Viejo de Talamanca, Costa Rica. The pairing is available 7 days before and 7 days after the date of your guided tour, anytime during the following hours: Tuesday to Thursday from 1pm to 7pm and Friday to Saturday from 11am to 4pm. No reservation required, just show up at the boutique and mention your name to the Choco employee.
We recommend wearing closed shoes, to bring drinkable water, wear sunscrean and insect repellent for the guided tour.

A chocolate pairing of your choice at our boutique Choco in the center of Puerto Viejo. The experience is available in English, Spanish and seasonally in French.
Service fee (tip) and taxes are included in the price.
Transportation to/from CariBeans and to/from Choco boutique is not included.
The walk is a mountain ascention at a very slow pace with numerous breaks.
The majority of the products used during the Choco pairing may have been in contact with nuts.
